I am Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in geriatric and rehabilitative care, honed at Vancouver Coastal Health, Island Health and private clinics. I very much enjoy and value interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education, ensuring tailored intervention planning and exceptional care outcomes. Certified in CPR/AED, my analytical thinking and active listening endorse a strong patient and family rapport.
I value and focus on the importance of each individual and the importance of each person as unique and having their own needs, priorities and preferences.
I have worked at the Victoria Arthritis Centre permanently since 2008- with those having arthritis ages 18 months to 100. I have a lot of experience with 1:1 care, working with families, and joint care education and intervention.
Prior to working at the Victoria Arthritis Centre I also worked for island health on many different wards including geriatrics, orthopedics, respiratory, burns and plastics.
I am also currently working at one private clinic making custom leather wrist and hand splints; as well as at a second private clinic focusing on the clinic's splinting needs post operatively as well as for longer term rehabilitation.
