Coroner's Inquest Analysis:

• Conducted qualitative analysis of a coroner's inquest into a death in custody using grounded theory. Identified themes related to correctional healthcare practices, institutional accountability, and oversight structures. Assessed how institutional processes shape health outcomes in carceral settings.

Growing Through Loss-Program Proposal:

• Designed Growing Through Loss, a trauma-informed and community-based program proposal for children aged 8-17 who have lost a parent or guardian to suicide. Conducted an in-depth literature review examining long-term mental health and behavioural risks associated with parental suicide, including elevated rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Identified gaps in existing Canadian bereavement services and developed a structured group-based program incorporating weekly child sessions, monthly caregiver sessions, cultural responsiveness, and co-design with affected families and community members. Outlined a two-year timeline for development, implementation, and evaluation grounded in trauma-informed practice and community-based research principles.

Seminar Facilitator, Master's Level Criminology and Social Justice Courses:

• Co-facilitated three seminar discussions in master's level criminology and social justice courses, contributing to presentations and discussions ranging from one and a half to three hours. Assisted with structuring seminar flow and developing materials, including summarizing academic readings, creating slides, and designing interactive activities. Topics included authenticity and alienation in grunge culture, misinformation and crime in digital contexts, and community engaged research methods. Facilitated discussion by building on student contributions and connecting ideas to broader social, criminological, cultural, and institutional issues.

Penal Press Digital Archive:

• Coded issues weekly to identify recurring themes related to institutional power, marginalization, resistance, and lived experience, contributing to a digital archive preserving incarcerated perspectives within Canadian penal history.

• Conducted a thematic analysis of incarcerated individuals' writing from William Head Institution, examining 2021 Out of Bounds issues through a grounded theory, narrative analysis, and ethics of care framework. Identified key themes including self-expression, Indigenous Issues, internet accessibility, solitary confinement, health and connection and community. Co-authored a report based on this work, archived through the Toronto Metropolitan University.
