Sloane Dueck

• Communicate and greet customers in possibly fragile and compromising states
• Greet donors in a welcoming manner in order to create a positive environment
• Take on managerial duties including, daily sales paperwork, reconciling credit card receipts and updating data
• Process customer orders using point of sale terminal and complete cash and debit transactions
• Make specialty drinks using an espresso machine
• Prepare food in a variety of ways including, grilling, baking and rearranging for visual presentation
• Teach others how to use the various machinery and overall workings of the shop

For the Leadership Program;

• Planned school events such as "School-wide game days", "Dress up days" and Holiday Activities
• Toured and introduced grade nine and international students to the school
• Contributed to the community through fundraisers such as "Halloween for Hunger" which collected food from around the town to donate to the Summerland Food Bank

For Grad Council:

• Planned fundraisers for the graduates year end celebrations
• Organized and contributed to volunteer opportunities

For the Theatre Program:

• Choreographed for the Summerland Secondary School Theatre Program productions of "Anastasia" and "Newsies"
• Worked with individuals of all skill levels and taught me how to alter my communication methods so that the dance moves were understandable to those around me

Teacher Assistant of Ballet Classes

• Work with kids ranging from 4 to 9 years old
• Help dancers improve their skills, learn choreography and how to work with a team
• Communicate in a variety of ways to adhere to all different learning styles

• Entertain children with of all different ages and behavioral tendencies
• Set up bouncy castles, carnival games and other activities

• Managed legal papers and abided to strict city rules to ensure we were up to code in the health, safety and legal aspects of the business

• Organized financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, payment and cost effective purchasing
