As Cadillac service ambassador, most of your days will be in front of a computer and a desk. Tasks that service ambassadors do are creating repair orders for vehicles, making appointments for service, answering general inquiries, checking for validity of warranties on vehicles, checking for open recalls, service history, customer and vehicle information, writing receipts, closing work orders, using a debit machine, and working closely with other service advisors. Furthermore, we also check vehicle tire threads, exterior and interior condition, check oil and air filter life, and drive vehicles out of the drive thru for the mechanics to pick up, drop off vehicle to customers, pick up customers, and also providing excellent customer service as expected from a luxury car brand. Cadillac service ambassadors report directly to the service assistant manager.
As sales advisors, we are expected to learn human behaviour, tactics and techniques to become a successful salesman and attend afternoon meetings. Tasks ranges from going door to door sales, providing customer service such as answering general inquiries, memorizing product information, working with other sales agents to create a successful teamwork environment, and meeting Telus guidelines. Other tasks include learning to avoid objections and rejections and professionalism by the way you dress, speak and bodily posture.
Lot attendants are expected to maintain the lot, move vehicles, and assists managers and other members of the dealership. Duties include jumping or boosting dead vehicles, tracking down vehicles as ordered, filling in parking lot holes to provide a neat appearance of the dealership, cleaning of the parking lot such as sweeping, snow-blowing snow off vehicles, moving vehicles for the purpose of presenting them to customers, filling in with gas, deliveries, and storage. Lot attendants usually report to the sales manager but also service managers.
Team leaders are expected to lead their team clean vehicles in a timely manner with excellent quality. Such duties include managing breaks and lunches of attendants, create audits for evaluation of attendants, work together with supervisors and team leaders to effectively clean cars in a limited period of time with satisfactory quality, address customer concern and complaints, answer general inquiries of products such as pricing, differences between selected washes and time to complete. Other duties are attending managerial meetings to discuss issues and concerns, delegating tasks to the attendants, and training new employees. Team leaders report directly to the general and assistant manager and supervisors.
As car detailers, our main goal is to provide deep cleaning of customer vehicles. Our job includes shampooing of upholstery, carpets and headliner, polishing interior and exterior of vehicles, paint preparation, proper handling of cleaning agents and products, and extra care with windows and mirrors using sophisticated glass cleaner. Aside from the other duties, we also provide general inquiries regarding detail services, booking appointments, providing excellent customer service, meeting detail deadlines, waxing vehicle exterior, and hand washing of vehicles if customer refuses the machine-operated car wash. Detailers report to the detail manager.
As car wash attendant, we had several duties such as cleaning vehicles, maintaining building cleanliness, and integrity and providing excellent customer service. Such duties include vacuuming carpets and seat, wiping vinyls, windows and mirrors, wiping down the exterior of the vehicle to dry, and applying tire shine. Other duties also include answering general inquiries about car wash and its process, providing a welcoming customer service, carefully directing customers safely into the building for cleaning preparation, pressure-washing vehicle exterior along with machine washing, driving vehicles up to continue the flow, cleaning vehicles in a timely manner while providing satisfactory quality. Attendants report directly to team leaders and supervisors.
