Imran Chowdhury

• Oversaw our district's largest voting location and managed poll workers on election day; Served as a liaison between the voting location and the Returning Office; Reported services disruptions and any incidents that occurred; Brought, set up, tested, and troubleshot technology; Mediated conflicts between officials and a very diverse public.

• Organized religious events, community gatherings, and educational programs. Planned and executed mosque events with the Imam and other leaders. Arranged locations, transportation, and catering. Assisted Imam, mosque caretakers, and treasurers with various other activities.

• Active volunteer with the York University Track and Field Club. Duties include, assisting in the measuring of jumps and throws; helping at water stations; and the positioning and repositioning of equipment during events (such as hurdles, pole vault bars, and wind gauges) for the safety and accuracy of the athlete- performers.

• Collected require data from clients; designed and produced detailed technical drawing parts for tool critical to nuclear research; performed detailed design analysis and conducted reports on the progress of assigned project.

• Demonstrated ability to work from engineering drawings, follow formal procedures and maintenance practices ensuring quality of leading-edge equipment (including optical quality inspection systems and highly accurate length measurement machines) designed to meet specific needs of international customers.

• Property maintenance (3-acre property); managed and conducted home improvements within budget and to increased property value; oversaw contractor work; advertised rental units; screened and selected renters; assisted with bookkeeping and facilitated rental payments
• Major accomplishments: assisted in the sale of the property for a 10% profit, rebuilt beach walk out, created snow/ice drainage system across the property, cut and split trees on the property to enhance safety and appearance of the wooded area, and for firewood (saved over $5000 in firewood that season).

• Maintained beaches and amenities on the Ottawa River (Deep River, ON and Laurentian Valley, ON section) by boat

• Actively refereed, assisted referees, and score kept school sports games from grades 7-12 throughout each in-person high school year.

Volunteered to create, design, and manage a local community program website. Communicated and navigated through a political 10+ group member team to digitalize a word-of-mouth/newspaper advertised program whilst resolidifying and modernizing the program mission-statement.

• Developed and implemented training drills to improve team cohesiveness and performance.

My excellent interpersonal skills and passion for education have helped me teach and motivate youngsters. I have also mentored various students in their religious journey. I've coached and mentored athletes of all levels. My diversified background in academia, religion, and athletics makes me uniquely prepared to mentor people in a variety of areas.
