• Developed a working knowledge of the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act and Alberta Children and Family Services Policy.
• Developed case plans and goals with families to reduce safety risks and to create a healthier home environment.
• Interviewed children and parents to assess safety within the home and conducted global interviews with children and guardians, using different interviewing techniques, such as three houses.

• Worked with families on open files and ongoing safety planning to mitigate child protection risks.

• Taken on the role of mentoring HSW3 workers entering the field.
• Taken on the role of supervising students, teaching, and working collaboratively with the University.
• Worked as an Intake Worker from 2008-2010 and completed intake and risk screening.
