March 2015: Sunnybrook Hospital- Maxofacial Dentistry department
I assisted and provided care to individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down syndrome, several stroke victims and resident veterans. I provided dental care to the patients and educated the caregivers on oral care. I observed Dr. Kileb, the resident oral surgeon, in several biopsy's of oral cancer.
I assisted and treated numerous patients with extensive facials injuries involving the nose and maxilla.
I observed Dr. Dover and Dr. Blanas in numerous intricate tooth extractions.
I assisted with assessments at the hospital, set up of daily trays and all instruments needed for the daily use by dentists, surgeons, dental hygenists and assistants.
February 2015: Toronto Public Health - Ward 11
I assisted in oral screenings @ Our Lady of Victory for all children grades 1-8. Indices were recorded for each individual child and letters of concern were sent to children who exhibited continuous decay that had not been rectified within the year, at the last oral screening.
