Work History

Boilermaker Mechanic

Multiple Contractors
08.1976 - 07.2019

General and specialty welding applications in the Pulp and Paper industries, Oil Refineries, Tank Farms, etc. including Supervision as well as hands on work.

I have done many DIY projects varying from backyard buildings to whole house renovations, including some plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, drywall, painting, etc.

I semi-retired in 2013, but worked in Alberta in the same industries until 2019. At that time I fully retired. Now, due to my interest in traveling, I would like to secure a source of income for that purpose.

For hobbies I like to travel (of course) and I have a small woodworking shop.

I have a small wood lathe with which I make bowls, pens, wooden spoons, spatulas, etc. I have also made River Tables with the use of epoxy rivers and finishes, cutting boards, charcutterie boards, burl tables, etc. I think these hobby skills would be a great benefit.
