Hello, I'm Mike,
I'm bringing my drive as a dynamic leader with three decades of leadership and management in all aspects of civil earth work, commercial, industrial and residential construction from deep services to turn key building construction builds. Applying a solid work ethic hs allowed me to have lead projects up to 200 million dollar multi phased projects.
I was raised in ina large family ranching in Northern B.C. The family embraced opportunities in other sectors such as oil and gas and real estate development and oilfield Construction.
Having been raised in an operations management environment in my home ranching environment, prepared me early in leading jobs in many many different rolls encompassing farming, pipelining, rig work, trucking and various facility construction projects growing up.
Fast forward to my adult career, I've been fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to join, grow and lead multi industry companies as a Project Manager, Construction and Operations Manager with rolls as VP of operations and at times deputy COO for lengths of time.
At 53, I still learn things everyday, and I would like to think I have seen a very broad view of critical matters requiring intervention in any operation. I am a critical tasking specialist based on the W.I.N. principal and apply it to every project once a schedule is derived
I find construction can be variable in any scope and that having the skills in critical task management and response is a very necessary skill to have to react appropriately when things in today's work force environment require perhaps more critical thinking and judgment coming from experience.
I have a record of operational excellence construction and operations including but not limited to ranching, manufacturing, real estate development and Building, industrial/commercial/high rise/residential construction.
I've been afforded a unique position throughout my career by being mentored by a family and subsequently an arms length family office who taught me to function in multi discipline rolls and industries.
Through demonstrated success in fostering a culture of driven people. I'm adept at driving teams towards exceeding financial targets while promoting a culture of continuous improvement in various industries. I am however direct and to the point and have had to learn to soften my approach over the years with field staff and providers.
Being a respectful but persistent leader eager to grow organizations through demonstrated success in fostering a culture of driven people, I have at times had to be a bit of a bulldog through out my career.
