My goal is to bring my current professionalism, skills, training and experience as the acting facilities and jail coordinator and custodial guard for the Coquitlam RCMP/City of Coquitlam, and apply it to the team of professionals at the Burnaby RCMP/City of Burnaby to assist in supplementing my income, as well as helping expand my knowledge, training and skill set for the future.

Acting Jail Coordinator/Custodial Cell Guard

  • As Acting Jail Coordinator, responsible for leading, managing, and supervising the well being, safety and security of all full time and auxiliary custodial guards.
  • Additionally, conducting administration duties such as reporting to city of Coquitlam and RCMP management, payroll, budgeting, hiring, interviewing, maintaining and enforcing RCMP policies and Jail SOP's, ordering food, blankets, and supplies for prisoners, reviewing incident reports, logbooks, c-13's, KOP's and more.
  • As a Custodial Guard, responsible for the safety and well-being of prisoners in custody through physical periodic checks as well as through CCTV systems.
  • Duties include safety checks, booking prisoners, monitoring CCTV, maintaining log books, cleaning biohazards and cells, preparing court liaison documents, facilitating lawyer and JJP/Court services phone calls, creating, updating and maintaining C-13's, using logbooks and working within RCMP policies and SOP's.
  • Working with RCMP watch commanders, members, and several external agencies such as EHS, CBSA, Corrections, Sheriffs, Courts, Fire Department, other law enforcement agencies, etc.
  • Proficient and trained in intellibook, prime systems, visual staff scheduler, microsoft word, excel, outlook, powerpoint, teams, CCTV systems, and more.
  • Experience and training in responding to emergency situations such as medical emergencies, floods, fires, bomb threats, fights and violence, cell extractions, and more.
  • Trained and Certified in all AGORA and Canadian School Of Public Safety courses for Custodial Guards.


K9 Operations Manager/ K9 Handler

  • K9 Operations Manager and Regional K9 Site Supervisor responsible for overseeing multiple high profile sites, dealing directly with client management, writing, maintaining and reviewing site SOP's, emergency management plans, tactical operations, recruitment, hiring, interviewing, training on site, and more.
  • Responsible for vehicle fleet management, K9 and employee health and safety, equipment, gear, inventory, as well as maintaining equipment, extracting bodycam and CCTV footage and more.
  • Conducted audits and efficiency management reports, ensuring the safety, security and well being of all K9 handlers and security teams in British Columbia and Alberta.
  • Certified and trained in K9 protection, bomb and explosive detection, scent detection, scent management, rural and urban search techniques, control techniques, risk management, threat analysis, use of force, de-escalation techniques, report writing, critical incident investigation, emergency management, rapid response training, environmental response protocols, hydrogen sulphide (H2S) safety, confined space training, and equipment such as night vision goggles, FLIR thermal imaging cameras, and more.
  • Experience and trained in dealing with civil disobedience, riots, protests, trespassers, property damage, bomb threats, fires, medical emergencies, sabotage, electronic warfare, power outages and more.

Senior Correctional Officer - Control Officer - E.R.T. Officer

  • Senior Correctional Officer duties included emergency response to fights, medicals, inmate disturbances, fires, floods, and more.
  • Responsible and trained in leadership for the well being, control, safety and security of up to 60 inmates on a living unit.
  • Trained and experienced in appropriate use of force, OC pepper spray, taser, various ASP batons, applications of handcuffs, leg shackles, belly restraints, etc.
  • Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.) Certified and trained in tactical response and critical incident intervention for inmate disturbances, hostage takings, cell extractions, field clears, riots, disputes lockdowns and more.
  • Team Leader trained to lead up to 30+ E.R.T officers in rapid response, tactical operations, deescalation techniques, criminology, advanced search, tactical handcuffing, trained for 37MM gas gun, CS Gas, CBRN, 36 inch baton, riot shield, tactical tools, distraction devices, etc
  • Control Officer Certified in the use of CCTV, access control programs, key retention and control, responsible for the leadership, overview, safety and security of 15 or more correctional officers, and up to 240 or more inmates.
