Centre Mountain Lellum Middle School, Grade 8:

  • 6 Week Practicum April-May 2023
  • Designed and developed many of my own resources and with UDL in mind so that every student could showcase their learning
  • Utilized diverse instructional methods such as manipulatives, multimedia, hands-on, and the outdoors to name a few to engage all learners
  • Fostered inclusion by implementing team-building and democratic dialogue consistently which saw students making positive, social connections and working cooperatively together for the first time
  • Formatively assessed students through regular 'check-ins' and exit slips to learn where to alter and/or implement changes in my instruction and swiftly did so
  • Promptly and meaningfully received feedback to then quickly adapt my instruction and meet the evolving needs of the diverse classroom
