• Southeast Alberta Child and Family Services (For Social Work Bachelors Degree), Medicine Hat, AB, This 360 Hr. practicum entailed all aspects of the process of Resources for Children with Disabilities (RCD) and Children’s Protective Services, including: home and school observations, child and family support, appeal work, contracting and renewing contracts. During this practicum, I voluntarily spent an extra month and a half following the completion of my practicum hours at RCD, to obtain additional Children’s Protective Services exposure. This included: investigations, intake, case management, and youth work. I also spent time at the Brooks Children’s Services office to obtain the added cultural aspect.

• EMPLOYMENT AND IMMIGRATION (For Social Work Diploma), Medicine Hat, AB, Social Work 336 Hr. practicum. Working with Supports for Independents and Alberta Job Corp. Two days per week of this practicum was spent at Alb. Job Corp (AJC). Three days per week were spent at AHRE. During this time, I had the opportunity to be a part of many facets of AHRE including: Investigations, EDCI, Job Resources, SFI and AJC. (Also included Client education).
