Mine Manager

In November 2020/2021 I was contracted to do a site clean up with the local First Nations. The location was Baker Mine 700km north of Mckenzie Bc. The contract included the following tasks:

1) Manage all worker's to the insure all work was to be within the guidelines set by the Health,Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC

  • 2) Work closely with the local First Nations to promote opportunities and training. The priority was implementing worker health and safety while also promoting sustainability initiatives throughout the entire operation

3) Set up a location for burning all garbage and old buildings that were deemed unsafe.

4) Remove Generators that had catastrophic failure. Then remove all the contaminated material in the area and put into a containment to be treated.

In 2021/2022 I was contracted to build a 100 man camp. This included the following tasks:

1) I was responsible to Design/locate the trailers, supplies and the logistics to get everything to site.

2)Make sure we had the proper permits for the structures, water,sewer and the max occupancy expected.

3)Manage and work close with the first nation employee's contracted to help complete the work. This included any training that would be needed.

4) Late in the season was took on the role as Mine Manager. This included over seeing all aspects of the site, health and safety the top priority. My priority was implementing worker health and safety while also promoting sustainability initiatives throughout the entire operation.

In the summer of 2022/2023 I remained the Mine Manager until January 2024. The company is in a maintenance stage and I decided to pursue other options.
