Key Skills:
On December 6, 2019, I participated in a free HIV/AIDS health campaign organized by the Faculty of Health Science Students Association at the University of Buea. The event was themed 'Communities make the Difference' and aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in the local community.
As a participant, I helped distribute informational brochures and engage community members, providing education on HIV transmission, prevention, and available testing services. I also assisted with setting up the event logistics and volunteered at the free HIV testing stations set up at the campaign site.
Through my involvement, I contributed to the important goal of increasing HIV/AIDS knowledge and destigmatizing testing in the local community. The campaign was well-attended and deemed a success in connecting residents with critical health resources and promoting the role of community engagement in addressing this public health issue. Upon completion of my volunteer duties, I was awarded a certificate of participation.
