• Responsible to bring new technology to the Canadian marketplace with a strong focus on Halo RSS System and Near Bit / At Bit LWD tools.

• Improving the depth of communication with clients on directional drilling and downhole survey equipment.
• Responsible for providing sales forecasts to district manger.

• Directly involved with increasing company’s 2024 revenue while still maintaining company target margins.

• Steered OptiMax to become a provider of directional drilling services in Saskatchewan and the preferred provider to one of the largest operators by volume in Canada, Crescent Point Energy.
• Involved in the negotiations to acquire two Directional Drilling Service company’s under OptiMax banner.
• Directly involved in the growth of the Directional Drilling Division of OptiMax Drilling Solutions.
• In charge of all daily operations, sales, marketing, vendor management, technology implementation, and maintenance of drilling, surveying, and magnetic ranging services.
• Directly involved with managing the company’s P&L statement with the CFO and VP of Operations.

• Working closely with clients and internal teams to aid in the onboarding process and overall operations project management of Directional Drilling services.
• Executing on key deliverables to meet project timelines and fully implementing new clients.
• Onsite client visits for new accounts, or project planning, deployment, training, or lunch and learns.
• Establishing relationships with current clients to continuously improve the customer experience and overall solution.
• Provide input in all pricing proposals for new and existing clients.
• Improving the depth of communication with clients on directional drilling products.
• Directly involved with the implementation of a new Safety Software utilized to obtain our CORE certification.
• Host and participate in all Safety meetings with field and office personnel.

• Organization and dispatch of jobs throughout Western Canada.
• Display a strong commitment to safety and the ability to develop a solid safety culture.
• Work closely with sales team to develop strategic sales packages / contracts for future clients.
• Provide project management expertise in the early project planning stage (job scope & feasibility.)
• Dispatch crews and ensure they have job-specific equipment, tools, resources, and technical competency.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and career development activities within the district.
• Aid and support to field supervisors in dealing with people management and technical issues.
• Work closely with the product line mangers to develop and maintain equipment maintenance, budgets & repair schedules.
• Participate in meetings and performance improvement initiatives related to operations, safety, & financial accountability.
• Travel to field locations across district to manage performance, complete field inspections, investigate accidents/incidents and monitor safe operating procedures.

• Plan, manage & execute all applications of horizontal & directional drilling.
• Provide drilling organization, technical, logistical support & leadership for team members and clients.
• Drill all types of well deviations including S-wells / Directional wells / Horizontals/ Multi laterals / High Anti-collision pad work / SAGD /Geothermal in Western Canada, United States and Japan.
• Extensive experience drilling all formations in SE, Sask.
• Experience in operating all types of conventional drilling systems.
• Experience in high anti-collision magnetic ranging projects for Shell Carmon Creek as well as SAGD well twinning ranging projects for Devon Jackfish.
• Communicate with on-site company representatives to ensure successful completion of all jobs and any issues or concerns are addressed immediately.
• Complete pre / post well paperwork and billing after each job, as well as paperwork/billing required daily for company and customer.
• Take part in all safety meetings and always promote safe working environments.
• Involved in continuous improvement initiatives and standard operating procedures for clients.
• Actively involved in training of new personnel to company in all aspects of drilling and programs including on call support for Field Cap online data tracking.

• Prepare tools to go into operation in the field, including a full function test.
• Maintain and monitor centrifuge’s, high pressure pumps and centrifugal pumps on the Hibernia platform offshore Newfoundland.
• Always maintain awareness for any noticeable pressure drops and routinely walks lines to ensure no leaks or spills to the environment or elsewhere.
• Handling of the proper paperwork and logs for operations and for the oil company.
• Perform all duties according to the company’s quality system procedures and work instructions.

• Adhered to the Company’s Safety Program and government safety regulations
• Maintain and monitor drilling fluid systems, centrifuge’s, high pressure triplex pumps on the Hibernia platform offshore Newfoundland.
• Observed and maintained proper drilling fluid characteristics and mud handling.
• Work on or above the drilling floor, guide drill pipe during tripping process.
• Assisted Driller with equipment maintenance specifically related to the circulating system.
• Handled all of the proper paperwork and logs for operations and for the oil company.

• Ensure rig is running smoothly and while keeping ahead of upcoming tasks.
• Trouble shooting electrical and mechanical problems with knowledge of various types of rigs. Jackknife triple diesel electric & conventional, Jackknife / telescopic doubles & Super Single ADR rigs which I have all worked on through my career.
• Run controls on rig for pulling pipe, tripping in, running casing, making connections and trouble shooting condition of well by how the pipe pulls through well bore, gain or loss in mud volume, change in mud properties, type, shape and number of cuttings coming over shaker, ect.
• Train crew how to properly inspect rig equipment & 3rd party equipment, how to use all equipment safely and maintain a safe work environment
• Ensure crew is properly trained to shut in well in the event of a kick. Each crew member has set responsibilities they must perform in efficient time which could save the rig and their lives.
• Document all activities performed by all crew members daily.
• Perform safety meeting before any task performed to bring all potential hazards to the awareness of all crew members and to preplan a smooth operation.
• Ability to supervise crew in a safe manner during all types of challenging weather.
