SolidWorks Project - APSC 171 (Engineering Drawing and CAD/CAM)

  • After four months of hard work, my team and I made the James Webb Space Telescope using SolidWorks for our term project. We won Top 10 and earned the second highest mark of the class.

Final Design Project - APSC 171 (Engineering Drawing and CAD/CAM)

  • Additionally, our team had to design an item to help with climate change. We invented and made a solar panel cleaner using supplies available to us.

Design Project - APSC 169 (Fundamentals of Sustainable Engineering Design)

  • I was the CEO for my team's design project, which came with much responsibility. We worked to address the increase in eutrophication due to nutrient runoff in Fraser Valley, BC, to create a more sustainable environment and maintain vital freshwater sources. Our solution was a tool aimed to assist in the treatment of eutrophic water by measuring the level of treatment chemicals in the water at specified depth levels. We obtained the highest mark of the class for the final lab report with a 98%.

Preparing to Consult with the Council of the Haida Nation: Wave Energy Implementation Project - APSC 201 (Technical Communication) 

  • My team and I had to come up with a plan for consulting with the Council of the Haida Nation on the implementation of wave energy on the islands of Haida Gwaii. Over the semester we had to prepare for a presentation on our plan as well as a final consultation plan report.

Assignment 4 Competition: Construction Material Used in Civil Engineering - ENGR 325 (Civil Engineering Materials)

  • My team had to prepare a two-page document and a single slide presentation on a subject related to the modern/contemporary/futuristic construction materials used in civil engineering applications. We chose 3D graphene and had to give a two minute in-class presentation of our work. After the class vote, my team won runner up for the most innovative/creative/interesting material.
