Accomplishments

Fire Scene Investigations: I have spent 10 years as the local assistant to the fire marshal during my time as Chief officer in Reserve Mines, NS. I have also obtained Fire Investigator NFPA 1033, which allowed me to assist the Deputy Fire Marshals in the Cape Breton Area over the past year. I have assisted on 4 Investigations with the deputy’s to date.


Fire Inspections: Thoroughly inspect all occupancy types including residential, commercial, industrial, and assembly occupancy properties. Document violations and issue inspection orders.


Fire Safety Education: 25 years in design, developing, and providing group presentations to schools, seniors’ centres, community organizations, events, as well as deliver impactful messages through public media; consistently encouraging stakeholders to employ effective fire prevention tactics.
