Assigned a caseload and am responsible for making independent determination of initial and continuing eligibility for applicants receiving public assistance within established guidelines and procedures. Also perform Income Eligibility Verification of cases to calculate over payment recovery amounts. Incumbents must exercise knowledge of the laws, regulations and procedures governing the administration of public assistance grants and programs and of interviewing and record keeping techniques.
