Automated Camera Switching for Hockey
09/2020 - 04/2021
- Created, in a team of five, a system that, during a streamed hockey game, decides which camera feed to display to viewers using multiple instantiations of a Deep Learning model and a camera switching algorithm.
- The Deep Learning model detected relevant objects such as pucks, players, and referees on different cameras with high accuracy. Detections were then fed into the scoring algorithm to generate the output stream.
