  • Lead the construction and Maintenance staff by way of the Manager of Project Management (currently still in this role) and the Manager of CMS Trades
  • This position has approximately 40+ staff reporting directly or indirectly to it
  • Created a fully comprehensive scheduling system for our CMS Trades Preventative Maintenance program in conjunction with our Building operations staff liaising with our Assistant Director of Building Operations
  • Created a triage-based system for all work requests along with our Asset Management team and implemented it into the creation of a YTT (yesterday, today, tomorrow) twice weekly meeting for all involved managers to review, rank and assign all incoming work requests in real time
  • Harmonized the trades groups in Central with the group in Truro by bridging the gap with management and process
  • Developed a Project based schedule with the Manager of CMS Trades by way of MS Projects
  • This work in progress will incorporate corrective work at a later date as well as resource loading to effectively allocate staff resources, highlighting areas of success and weakness on a visual scale
  • Developed a system of publishable KPI’s in tandem with the manager of CMS Trades and our Asset Management group to highlight compliance and ensure proper coverage in areas that may be faltering

  • Currently oversee a staff of 7 Project Managers of multi-disciplinary backgrounds with a cumulative project load of approximately 200 + projects per annum and a budget of $25 million per annum spread between two funding streams
  • Lead and develop, in conjunction with our Asset Management group, strategic project planning to prioritize projects based on criticality, budget, needs, and directives on a regular basis
  • Review contract law as it relates to contract administration and obligations
  • Helped to create and implement penalty clauses related to construction/contractors to ensure Scope, Budget and Timelines are adhered to
  • Developed and implemented comprehensive KPI’s, with our finance group, to track and measure success within the team as well as to highlight areas for improvement
  • These KPI’s are regularly monitored and updated accordingly
  • Helped to develop a full and comprehensive forecasting/reporting system to accurately predict budget constraints/challenges in real time
  • Developed a full close out package system implemented through the Project Management team for accurate handover to end users/clients
