I am an accomplished Real Estate Broker adept at growing business through deep knowledge of The Real Estate Industry and strong relationship-building abilities. In addition, my background includes 8 years as a Director of the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board culminating with serving as President of the Board. I also served as President of the Kitchener Grand River Rotary Club and was recipient of the Paul Harris Award , the top recognition a Rotarian can receive. I am also known to be gifted in oral and written skills. I can manage multiple priorities with a high level of success and I am adept at meeting team goals through effective leadership. Primary goal was to create a landing platform for an under utilized segment of the Real Estate population who have spent their careers establishing a business base which disappears upon life events such a sabbaticals, semi or full retirement, illness, or bucket list opportunities come up. Rather than go " out of commission " I helped create a " referral " based concept which takes the registrant out of the mainstream status by "parking" their license; maintaining their client relationships and referring business opportunities to a preselected agent or agents. Recruiting and interview process critical to success. 14 agents have come aboard since inception, and concept is gaining rapid interest.
During this period I worked in several capacities. I was the Broker/Manager and part owner with Re/Max Twin Cities. I was in direct sales with a major independent for several years. I was Team Leader for Keller-Williams for several years during its introduction to the KW marketplace. I represented two major builders for several years earning top Sale's Achievement Awards from the KW Home Builder's Association. During this period I worked with very different business plans but I did realize and made it my mantra that RECRUITING, TRAINING AND RETENTION WERE THE secrets of success in any real estate operation.
I owned and managed, with my father, an independent family owned Real Estate Company of 28 agents for 8 years. Mair Real Estate Inc. was the #4 office in the Kitchener-Waterloo marketplace for and during that period. This has been my only vocation since graduation from University and I am proud to be a Realtor.
