Arshema Ahmad

I am a dedicated and resilient individual with a deep passion for biomedical science, environmental sustainability, and human impact. As an immigrant from Afghanistan, where access to healthcare and women's rights are severely limited, my goal is to pursue medicine not only as a career, but as a mission to serve and uplift. I am currently preparing to enter a Bachelor of Science program with the long-term vision of contributing to medical research, innovation, and equitable care. I am also the founder of Zairsh, a sustainability-focused initiative developing carbon capture materials to support climate solutions. I bring strong communication, leadership, and adaptability — driven by purpose and ready to contribute meaningfully to both science and society.

• Spearheaded an independent research initiative focused on carbon capture and sustainability solutions.
• Conducted scientific research in materials science and environmental impact to develop an innovative CO₂-absorbing material.
• Engaged with professionals, governmental representatives, and academic institutions to explore funding and development opportunities.
