•Plan and Implement programs following Alberta Education ECS guidelines
• Provide developmentally appropriate and engaging learning opportunities to special education children in a vibrant play-based program
• Enhanced learning experiences by incorporating specialized tools and resources tailored to the needs of special education students.
• Assessed student performance regularly using both formative and summative assessments to inform future lesson planning.
• Provide written reports and updates relating to the children’s progress and goals as described in their Individualized Program Plans( IPP’S)
• Supervise and lead a team of paraprofessionals, providing clear direction and setting high expectations
•Coordinate and lead weekly team meetings to review student progress and to plan and prepare educational materials for the classroom
•Consult with therapists about strategies to implement in the classroom
• Fulfill both short and long term substitute assignments across all subject areas, effectively teaching students of varied academic/age levels (grades K-12) and diverse backgrounds.
