  • Working in community care nursing my role has mainly been working in an ambulatory care clinic which requires autonomous nursing practice to assess and treat multiple types of wounds. I also complete multiple nursing procedures in clinic with proficiency and am certified in conservative sharp wound debridement.
  • Another role in community nursing is palliative care. I work with all palliative care clients in our commmunity and assist with symptoms management and facilitating end of life care. I am also certified to complete MAID provisions and am the main nursing provider in my community.
  • Another aspect of community nurse is Case Management which I have been involved in the least. However I have completed the REACT training and am currently finishing the P.I.E.C.E.S course.
