Working within the Acute Services East Regional Team duties include the following highlights:

• Health System Planning and Improvement: Coordinates and conducts analysis of local health-care system based on provincial and local data and input from health service providers (e.g. Hospital VP/CNEs to support health human resource needs in acute care hospitals).
• System Capacity Planning: Monitors access and flow performance metrics across the East Region for programs like Emergency Services and identifies trends, gaps and areas of opportunity
• Develop and Lead Stakeholder Relations and issues management: Leads discussions in department and stakeholder meetings, working groups, committees. Accomplished through work with Emergency Disaster Management and planning for surge and respiratory season.
• Project management and objectives delivery: Develops, manages and executes on work plans, including tracking milestones, project risks, and project status.

• Drafting local documentation to support provincial policy and stroke care pathways to support the clinical team in implementation.
• Guidance and direction to support high quality stroke care across the continuum from stroke prevention, EMS to hospital (hyperacute to outpatient rehabilitation) and community resources. Strong ability to network with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Accreditation, Stroke Distinction last achieved September 2022. Included data validation for transition to the new Key Quality Indicators.
  · Project Lead for implementation of RAPID-AI CT Perfusion and shift to Tenecteplase to treat Acute Ischemic Stroke in PRHC Emergency Department
  · Onboarding community hospitals for the 4-24 hour access to consultation for Endovascular Thrombectomy.
  · Funding proposals include Community Stroke Rehabilitation one-time funding to support outpatient stroke rehabilitation and one-time funding to support a Nurse Practitioner for inpatient and medical outpatient neurological services.
  · Creation and management of policies grounded in Stroke Best Practice guidelines.
  · Research initiates including poster presentations at World Stroke Congress on Community hospital access for EVT Consultation and creation of a Mobile Stroke Unit.

• Portfolio included clinical oversite of Lab/DI, operating room, inpatient medical unit, emergency department, patient safety, risk management and quality improvement
• Mandatory reporting to hospital Board Quality Committee
• Creation of the Patient Family Advisory Committee
• Partnering with local Public Health Unit and Family Health Team to create COVID-19 Assessment Centre and vaccination clinic.
• Alternative staff modeling to support nursing resourcing in the Emergency Department.
• Regional and local level project oversight to transition to Clinical Information System (EPIC).
• Creation of local level policy to reflection provincial guidance (e.g. temporary shut down hospital emergency department)

• Operational oversight for 36 funded beds with an annual budget over 3 million.
• Model of Care redesign to align program with Juravinski Cancer Centre
• Project Lead for Corporate Virtual Visits Program to support visits for palliative patients in the context of COVID-19
• Achieved highest staff engagement scores within the oncology and critical care portfolio for My Voice Matters survey.

• Daily operations for 60 beds and 2 acute care based Palliative Care Teams
• Maintenance and support for Medical Assistance in Dying
• Fire at St. Peter's and opening of 8 beds at Stedman Community Hospice with HNHB LHIN
• Project management included optimization of Case Mix Index(CMI)
• Improvement of staff sick time from 7% to 5%

• Operational, fiscal and resource management of 58 funded beds and over 120 direct reports.
• Co-chaired patient rounds and implemented use of NRS algorithm to facilitate Estimated Discharge Date for acute stroke patients.
• Primary focus on patient flow and opening 10 ALC beds.
• Maintenance of standards and indicators for Accreditation Canada - Stroke Distinction.
• Project management and expertise in change management and use of quality improvement frameworks.
