A multi-disciplinarian professional with a strong appreciation for the cultural power and purpose of food: a communal touchstone to bring together disparate people for a moment of shared enjoyment, comfort and sharing. My culinary journey began in my very early teens when my parents tasked me (and my brothers) with deciding on a single meal to research, shop and cook every week. Since then I've pursued my curiosity across all sorts of borders and gathered experience in multiple world cuisines; from Korea to Italy to Mexico.
- Maintained inventory week-to-week. Counting and calculating orders weekly, creating data projections based on previous weeks while keeping up to date on seasonal additions, removals and marketing pushes effecting our product line.
- Oversaw intake/hiring process including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates and training new hires.
- Facilitated maintenance of kiosk and all appliances by scheduling and communicating with our partnered contractors (plumbers, machinists etc...).
- Oversaw the operations of the Bloor Hot Docs box office for TIFF from 2012-2015
- Handled escalated visitor questions and concerns
- Reconciled tills for box office agents at both ins/outs of shifts
- Maintained product levels over the course of the day, minimizing waste while avoiding loss of sales
