Talented, gifted librarian and library technician who truly enjoys working closely with fellow library staff members to provide outstanding customer service to all library and community patrons.

Greatly enjoys personal client interactions and cherishes the task of fulfilling each patron's information needs request, goes above and beyond to promote library services and to preserve the vitality of the library within the community.

Began as a library page and then adult clerk at the Waterloo Public Library, progressed to becoming a library technician, then librarian assistant 1 & II, then on to branch head librarian.

Multi-faceted interests in the arts, sciences and education.

Taught English, History, Art, Business English, and Special Education at Nicholson Catholic College for almost seven years.

Fluent in English and German, learning conversational French.

Dreams of conducting personal enrichment workshops at the library on diverse topics such as creating natural, healing cosmetics, salves, and teas. Wishes to help others learn meditation, proper breathing techniques for healing, wellness, and stress-reduction.

Provided loving, full-time intensive cancer care for several years to terminally ill family members. Immense experience and compassion in this regard.

On a personal note, four-times vaccinated against Covid19 variants as a personal and community safety responsibility and precaution.

Branch Head Librarian

  • As branch head librarian and staff team member, managed and performed daily procedures at the Napanee Public Library and performed outreach at local branches to implement policies, safety procedures, and trained staff; organized and implemented adults and children's library events and promoted library services in the community and in press publications
  • Opened and closed branch library, received and processed returned library materials, cared for materials including repairs, kept accurate logs and statistics and reconciled finances, implemented province-wide computer access program and trained patrons regularly on computer use and assisted with IT networking and fixing computer issues
  • Supervised and trained library staff including pages. clerks, and volunteers, provided warm, friendly patron customer service, performed all circulation, reference, and children's library duties as needed on a daily basis
