Zero Waste Squad Volunteer, UBC Sustainability Office

As a volunteer with the Zero Waste Squad, I actively participate in campus-wide waste reduction initiatives, educating the UBC community on recycling, composting, and proper waste sorting practices. I assist at events by guiding attendees to correctly sort waste, contributing to UBC’s Zero Waste Action Plan, and helping foster a more sustainable environment on campus. This role allows me to enhance my knowledge of waste management strategies while supporting the UN’s climate action goals through tangible, local actions.
