Outside of the committees served on, I have been a strong leader at Windermere for many years including, being named Acting Department Head when our prior department head was on leave, Acting Athletic Director (1.25 years), UBC Student Teacher Advisor and from 2002-2015 I began a relationship between the VSB and Calo University in Zwolle, Netherlands, whereby I hosted and advised 19 international student teachers.
Brought the Link Crew program to Windermere 18 years ago and am currently building it into a program that is sustainable, the plan is to have it reach more areas of the school and community.
I am a liaison for Sports Day with our feeder schools each year.
I took part in a teaching exchange in 2011 to Australia to further my professional development.
For 26 years I continue to take part in Professional Development conferences in the lower mainland with the belief that we are lifelong learners.
Taking a group of students to the Dominican Republic for a humanitarian build was one of the most rewarding moments in my career. I hope to be able to provide this for Windermere students again in the future.
