I am seeking an opportunity to continue my passion for human resource management and excellence by working in a senior management position in the British Columbia public school system. I am currently in my twenty-fourth year as an educator in British Columbia and have spent the last five years as a Faculty Instructor at BCIT. Previous to that, I worked for many years in the Teachers’ Union, both in volunteer and fully released positions. I was an executive member with the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation and President of the Vancouver Secondary Teachers’ Association. I am skilled at facilitating positive and productive interactions between workers, leaders and union representatives. I have a proven and successful background reaching consensus and smoothing relations to maximize success of negotiations. I am an articulate and decisive professional with a respectful and resourceful approach.
Having spent fourteen years as a Technology Education Teacher, six years of which as Technology Education Department Head, five years working for the local and provincial Teachers’ Union and five years as Faculty at BCIT, I have found success in many roles and responsibilities
