• Monitoring the implementation of Receiving Inspections, Identification and Traceability of all materials for the project.
• Perform in-process and final inspection in shop and onboard.
• Coordinate and liaise with classification societies, Third party inspection agencies, Ship Superintendents and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards.
• Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, raise occurrences Reports/ Field reports collecting, updating and filling all relevant inspections records.
• Conduct frequent audits and report any non-compliance to the superiors on issue of quality.
• Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
• Inspection of field welding of pipe joint fit-up, inter pass weld visual, visual inspection of final weld.
• Welding application with various processes i.e., SMAW, GTAW, GMAW & SAW.
• Inspection of storage and backing welding consumables.
• Conversant with NDT techniques like Visual inspection, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic, Particle, Sulphur phosphate content test, Radiography test, Ultrasonic test and Positive Alloy Material identification.
• Witnessing Pre-heating, post heating and Post Weld Heat Treatment of weldments of pipe.
• Witnessing Hydro test and Pneumatic test.
• Skilled in welding inspection (various processes and materials) and NDT techniques.
• Inspection of Piping – System wise and verification according to isometric Drawing.
• Final clearance and documents review of Test pack of piping system as per Line Designation Table.
