Currently working as part of a dental team whose goal is to deliver compassionate care by establishing rapport with patients of all ages, and by focusing on their comfort and individual needs in a comprehensive manner.

Practical skills include hand and ultrasonic debridement, fluoride application, and educating patients on the importance of prevention, maintaining good oral hygiene, and demonstrating techniques for brushing, flossing, and use of other interdental aids.

Other skills include exposing digital intraoral and extraoral radiographs, as well as billing, charting, and documenting patient records using ABELdent software.

Provided thorough and comprehensive dental hygiene care to members of the community that included detailed oral assessments, oral hygiene education, debridement and preventive care.

Participated in an orthodontic module including tooth banding, bracket placement and removal, as well as power-chaining and various ligature types.

Provided oral hygiene care as part of the Dental Hygiene program for senior populations in long term care facilities using a modified ADPIE model of care.

Worked as part of a large dental team to efficiently assess patient needs, maintain flow through the office, and ensure that standards of care were maintained in sanitization of instruments, equipment and operatories.
