- Investigated the role of endothelin-1 (vasoconstrictor) and TGF-beta 1(growth factor) in the development of pulmonary hypertension in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertensive (CTEPH) patients
- Used thromboembolic clot/surgical samples to perform immunostaining, gene sequencing, and qPCR to collect data and analyze it using HALO, N-solver, and GraphPad Prism
- Correlated the clinical and radiographic findings of CTEPH patients with their lab findings to elucidate patient outcomes
- Written a thesis for my project and was responsible for submitting research proposals and abstracts/manuscripts for publication
- Mentored undergraduate students for their lab workshops through the University of Toronto Research and Health Science Education Shadowing Program
