Tracy Flaherty-Willmott

Summary

Tracy is the principal researcher and author of many homelessness and housing plans throughout Canada. The original architect of the Medicine Hat plan to end homelessness (which succeeded), Tracy’s impact can also be found in several provinces (e.g., author of the Newfoundland and Labrador Shelter Standards; advisor to the Government of New Brunswick; engaged as an advisor for homelessness response with the Government of Nova Scotia and the local Community Entity) and with various population groups (e.g., Tracy has provided leadership nationally to responding to homelessness amongst survivors of intimate partner violence as well as Canadian Armed Forces veterans and their families). Tracy is an accomplished project manager, focus group facilitator and key informant interviewer. Amongst Tracy’s current and recent projects are Simcoe County, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, City of Kawartha Lakes, Government of New Brunswick, Samaritan House (Virginia), the City of Ottawa, as well as Yellowknife and Yukon community projects.
