I am an organized and dependable person. Successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I'm always willing to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. Some time ago I joined a volunteer organization called the "Valour Park Association". Its purpose is to restore any and all former Canadian or allied military vehicles and equipment to prevent their destruction. Ranging from towed trailers, to motorcycles to armored personnel carrier's (APC's) to tanks and all military historical appropriate tools and auxiliary equipment photographs and documentation related to said vehicles. Our mission isn't for profit, it's strictly for the preservation and display of these magnificent pieces of history.
I have purchased a decommissioned Canadian Army Jeep called an Iltis along with it's Accompanying trailer and vehicle specific tools. My intention was to fully restore this vehicle it's trailer to its original state when it rolled off the assembly line in 1985. I have networked several organizations and individuals to allow me to be successful in this endeavor So far the process is taken three years but at this time I am at 85% completion.
Participating at the Red River College, Marine Power Sports Program has taught me viable skill sets such as working with unique tools, understanding the nature of power sports specific vehicles. As well as the diagnosing and subsequent repair of these vehicles as when / where required.
I wish to learn as much as i can during the three weeks of work experience as i can and if a near future position for a full time powersports technician to open up at SAR, I'd would love to be considered for casual, part time or full time employment.
I have a substantial tool set at this time which is constantly growing, I have all the required PPE to work in a professional atmosphere.
I can work long hours and work independently if required. I understand and follow vehicle shop manuals well. Our instructors at RRC have since day one been preparing all of my peers and I to work in a Marine Powersports work shop environment.
