Day Shift Position

• Supervising residents to ensure their safety.
• Gaining rapport throughs listening, engaging and meeting residents where they are.
• Providing support to residents, giving them a safe and nurturing environment.
• Documenting: residents daily activities; observations of the residents moods and responses; detail escalated situations and the outcome.
• Administering medications in accordance with employer guidelines with documentation.
• Actively listening to residents as they work through situations or thoughts that they are struggling with.
• Communication with coworkers about residents, gaining feedback and brainstorming how to address behaviors.
• Intervene negative behaviors in a non judgmental way.
• Contact supervisor when a crisis arises.
• Monthly online trainings.

Night Shift Position

• Guide residents as they prepare for bed.
• Intervene if necessary.
• Communicate with day staff.
• Clean, take out trash and wash laundry.
• Room checks with shift partner throughout the evening.
• Cook breakfast in the mornings.
• Wake up residents on school mornings to get ready for their school day.
• Document in the morning observation report for the residents.
• Contact supervisor when needed.
