Worked my way up from Machinist I to Machinist II

• Programmed, set up and operated all machines in the shop including an Okuma Multus, a high end 9 axis mill turn
• Other machines include GF Agiecharmilles P550 Wire EDM machine, tasks would include critical scientific experiments to base calculations off of. Worked directly with the engineers on this task.
• Programmed and operated an Okuma M560V-5ax, 5 axis mill, our Okuma LB3000 EXII a live tooling slant lathe, Haas mills and Haas lathe.
• Managed the supplies and cleanliness of the manual machining area in coordination with the technicians and engineers
• Designed and provided feedback to engineers based on manufacturability when necessary.
• Used Mastercam and Solidworks for all tasks above. This includes the seat of mill turn license which is a steep investment.

• Programmed and set up Kitamura5 Axis Machining Centers
• Jobs include tooling and prototype work for diamond turning laboratories, robotics companies and aerospace work
• Complex geometries and thin features are common daily challenges to solve
• Softwares used for CAD and CAM include Solidworks and Mastercam
• Mastercam programs I have programmed frequently included full simultaneous5 axis toolpaths
• Machine maintenance duties include change oil and grease, change coolant, tram and calibrate renishaw tool and part touch off probes and calibrated center of rotation as necessary
• Set up organizational fixtures to organize programs, track jobs and assist in quoting processes
• Set up and operated manual lathe and bridgeport mill for production and tooling as necessary

• CNC set up, including creating and offsetting fixtures, offsetting tools and other related tasks to set up, loading programs, programming via prototrak conversational controls, basic g-code and CAD/CAM software
• Basic tasks with CAD/CAM
• Verifying mass, verifying dimensions, designing fixtures and programming CNC machines
• Software include Solidworks and Mastercam
• Operated manual lathes and mills
• Along with bandsaws: both horizontal and vertical
• Tolerances on the parts have successfully programmed, set up and machined in a timely manner include O.D
• Of +-.0002 , geometric tolerances of flatness to +-.001 and perpendicularity tolerances to +-.001 and holes tolerances reamed/bored/tapped holes to +-.0005
• Completed parts with demanding surface finishes as fine as a4 finish (imperial measurement) which was achieved through lapping
• Materials worked with include various grades of aluminum , various grades of stainless steel316 included, tool steels, mild steels, plastics of many variants (including vespel and peek), titanium, copper, bronze, many Nickel alloys, molybdenum, machinable ceramic (Macor) and Inconel
• Used the sand blaster , orbital sander and the oxy-acetylene torch
