From an early age I have shown a drive and ability to be successful. As a child my father taught me electrical and mechanical basics and I have never stopped. I excelled at mechanics and making thing right through highschool and that's why I went into machining. I have excelled at every job I have had and have never been let go from any job since 1994, I had moved jobs to further my career. At Nova I have gained many skills from managing employees and customers to heavy equipment repair and running a 12KW CNC fiber laser that can cut 1 1/2" steel. I'm always up for new challenges and my travel repair service shows that as I often don't know that the machine issues are and I have to figure them out and how to fix them.
I own and run Nova Machine works. I over see day to day operations.
I also do the following when I'm not managing the company. Machining, welding/fabricating, mechanical/electrical repair and troubleshooting of mining sample prep equipment (in my shop and at customers sites across North America), mechanical design, consultation with customers.
From many years of designing, manufacturing and repairing equipment I have experience with CNC/manual machining, welding/fabricating, mechanical design, industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair, high and low voltage wiring, PLC design and programming, hydraulics and pneumatics.
I was a manual and CNC machinist.
-Produced parts from start to finish from supplied drawing.
-Inspected parts to make sure they were with quality specs
-Basic machine maintenance
-Setup manual and CNC machines
-Programmed CNC machines
-Developed processes for manufacturing products
-Worked with customers and management to find solution for customers
I was a customer account manager and also outside sales support.
My main position was to be main contact and supplier at ACT for Bombardier for the Milenium skytrain project.
My duties included
-Direct contact for Bombardier
-Sales of products to them
-Sourcing and procuring product that they needed that the company didn't currently supply
-Order products from suppliers and getting them delivered
-Site visits to make sure the customer was happy and resolve any question.
I also acted as support for other outside salesmen when they needed special assistance or products.
