I have extensive experience across the retail fashion industry in my home country of New Zealand. My experience reaches across buying, sales, merchandising, apparel preparation and administration in this industry. Working for top New Zealand fashion designer Karen Walker for five years as Senior Merchandise Manager, time management and organizational skills were essential. Before this my role as Womenswear Buyer at the surf apparel retail chain NorthBeach, is where my love of the fashion industry began. This role grounded me in predicting and analyzing trends, apparel ordering, and strong communication with customers and vendors. Part of being the Womenswear Buyer included regular time working in the five retail stores at a shop floor level. Here I gained excellent customer services and retail skills. I am a fast learner and competent at using technology and understanding point of sale systems. For the last ten years I have been working hard as a stay-at-home mum to three children, where being organized is key. During which my family and I relocated to Australia and back, and now to Canada following my husband's career in the wine industry. I am at stage in my life where I am excited and eager to re-enter the workforce and am an extremely hard working and dedicated person. My family and I are now Permanent Residents of Canada. My passion is styling clothing and interiors. Both of which I have had experience and success at a retail level in my career so far.
