Equipment Operator (Excavator/Side Boom)

  • 6 and 1 schedule.
  • Operated range of heavy equipment on daily basis, mainly operating excavator (350-490) and side boom when needed.
  • Track Bore-Using excavator or side boom to lower in pipe, bore tools, augers, bore machine and tracks. Extract pipe from ditch, lower in pipe to ditch. Clean ditch of augered out soil.
  • Back Fill-Shade pipe, back fill ditch, load rock trucks.
  • Clean up crew(end of job)-Bulk out sub soil and top soil to dozer for reclamation. Rollback/Scatter logs over reclaimed area.
  • Maintained, cleaned and inspected equipment before and after each job.
  • Trained in different attachments to handle team and job needs.
  • Filled out necessary paperwork such as FLHA's equipment inspection sheets etc.
  • Pumpwatch/dewatering when circumstances did not allow for equipment operation, these shifts included monitoring and doing regular maintenance on pumps, fueling pumps, and pumping water from ditch.

Dedicated and experienced equipment operator leveraging a strong background working in oil and gas (Haul Truck, Front End Loader), pipeline operating (Excavator, Side Boom) as well as laboring where needed (Welders helper, assisting tie ins, lowering in, pressure testing etc.).


I am looking to obtain full-time or shift work based employment preferably within the Alberta, Sakatchewan or BC pipeline operations. Successful at handling the physical demands of working both operating and manual work roles for extended periods of time. Committed to safety, efficiency and teamwork, as regular equipment checks and maintenance. I own a diesel truck and slip tank set up that is also readily available if required.
