  • Company Overview: Women’s Health Coordinator under the Provincial Organization WHAI. Prior to this position I was the Hep C Program Coordinator at CAYR and then transitioned into this role when it became available.
  • Within my role, I offer system navigation, soft referrals, documentation support and help secure accessibility requirements, community capacity building, facilitation and other ares to support client needs
  • Also, in my role I support the Mom’s Group which supports women living with HIV/AIDS with offering social inclusive activities that highlight women and femme identifying for Love Positive Women, International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. I also support with practical assistance for Mothers/Caregivers in the group, facilitate Peer Advisory Committee meetings and support with needs assessment.
  • Duties also include community events and spaces that bring awareness and community connection for African, Caribbean and Black Women, Indigenous Women Trans Women, 2 Spirit & Non-Binary Femme People Women Who Use Drugs or Substances Women Who Experience Violence, Women Who Are Incarcerated. These events include Take Back The Night, Sexual Health Work, collaborating on working groups or trainings with in community agencies such as WHIWH, Dr. Peters Centre, CPPN, OHTN.
  • Other duties include planning events, budget reviewing, documentation, data collection, funding reporting, needs assessments
