Rookie Blue - OPP Internship (2021 - 2022)

 I participated in a transformative internship with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), which provided me with invaluable insights into law enforcement operations and community engagement. Throughout this experience, I actively engaged in various activities, including ride-alongs with officers, attendance at community events in Caledon, and immersive learning sessions about the service's mission and values. These firsthand experiences allowed me to witness the diverse challenges faced by law enforcement professionals and understand the critical role they play in ensuring public safety. Moreover, my involvement in community events facilitated meaningful interactions with residents, reinforcing the importance of building trust and rapport within the communities served by the OPP. Through this internship, I developed a profound appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of law enforcement personnel, inspiring me to continue pursuing opportunities to contribute to the well-being of society.

St John Henry Newman Catholic Elementary School (2021 - 2022) 

I've dedicated my time to volunteer work at St. John Henry Newman Catholic Elementary School, where I play an active role in supporting students' academic and social development. As a volunteer, I undertake the responsibility of monitoring students during lunch periods, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all. Beyond this, I engage with students in their school work, providing guidance and assistance with various subjects. Particularly, I devote time to facilitating reading exercises, fostering literacy skills and a love for learning. Through one-on-one interactions, I help students navigate challenges, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals. This hands-on involvement allows me to witness firsthand the impact of personalized support on students' growth and achievement. By volunteering at St. John Henry Newman Catholic Elementary School, I am committed to helping youth and contributing positively to the communities they inhabit.

I have recently expanded my involvement to actively participate in volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Recognizing the profound impact of mentorship on youth development, I am committed to supporting and empowering young individuals through meaningful relationships and guidance. As a volunteer mentor, I engage in regular interactions with my mentee, offering support, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
