● Provide pre and post-operative nursing care for children of different age groups with congenital cardiac defects.
● Obtain vital signs, perform assessment, close monitoring and accurate documentation.
● Provide basic and advanced nursing care
● Ostomy care
● Care of patients on mechanical ventilators
● Care of patients on Dialysis- Peritoneal, renal
● Identify critical situations and act according to the policies and procedures of the institution
● Wound dressing and care of central lines, ICD
● Administer medications via IV, oral, Subcut, and ET, in the correct dosage.
● Run routine ABG/VBG and Blood sampling.
● Coordinate care with various healthcare team members.

• Observe and monitor patient closely and report undue findings to the physicians
• Nursing documentation in brief, accurate and complete manner
• Operate the equipment like pulse oximeter,and Sphygmomanometer
• Order checks ,administer & maintain safe custody of narcotic drugs & medications according to the hospital policy and procedure
• Assist team doctors in insertion of central line ,arterial line, intubation , extubation ,fine needle aspiration,and blood works
• Providing total parenteral nutrition
• Maintaining hygiene of the patient
• Demonstrate proficiency in the case of mechanically intubated patients
• Report verbally and as writing the progress of patient condition at each shift change over
• Effective housekeeping ,restocking of supplies, maintaining good morale with higher officials and other related departments
• Instruction for follow up and health education to patients and their families
