Summary

I am a trained Mental Health Nurse from the United Kingdom, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council UK. I began my training as a nurse in 2017 and on my last year of training, received an opportunity to work as a Trainee Band 4 nurse to support during the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. After completing my training and receiving my practicing pin from the NMC, I worked as a band 5 nurse, in an Adult Acute Mental Health Hospital for nearly 3 years. I further got a six-month secondment promotion opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager (Band 6). This role was based in Forensic Specialist Services, responsible for treating and rehabilitating adult patients with a forensic history.

I strongly believe that mental health is equally an integral part of human existence as physical health. My passion for mental health nursing was particularly driven by a desire to understand, challenge stigmas, and make a positive impact in people's lives, regardless of their mental health status.

I would describe my personal values as compassionate, empathetic, collaborative, accountable and reliable.

I am very interested in living and working in Canada.
