-Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.

-Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.

-Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.

-Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.

-Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.

-Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.

- Plan and Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children including activities, and experiences focusing on age range.

- Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment showing sensitivity to the individual needs of children in all aspects of development.

-Facilitating children's problem-solving skills.

- Performing activities like storytelling and encouraging them to express themselves through music, plays etcetera.

- Training children in dressing and developing toilet habits.

-Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or concerns with other staff members, Director and parents.

- Promoting positive interactions and behavior guidance and direction with the ongoing supervision of the classroom, playground, group, individual and routine activities.

-Conducting daily health check of children, recording and reporting illness and injury reports as required.

- Participating in maintaining accurate and complete records for children i.e. updating emergency contact sheets, allergy lists etc.

-Record daily and monthly attendance of children both paper-based and via log in/log out them on "Hi mama".

-Collaborate with colleagues, support, and maintain a team approach by sharing expertise and practical knowledge in developing the program.

-Prepare children for monthly fire and/or emergency fire drills.

-Supervise mealtimes in a relaxed, family atmosphere, sitting at the table with different groups of children on daily basis.
