  • Stemming from a waterfall culture and Old School way of working, I emphasized a new mindset and shared the importance of keeping Scrum terms and methods as closely intended as to not have the new work culture get lost in the verbiage of the old culture.
  • Led multiple hybrid Agile teams in the development of software products, resulting in a faster ready to launch and increase in delivery speed.
  • Ready to reach out to key stakeholders if the need to arises to ensure alignment and smooth collaboration across teams.
  • Facilitated daily virtual “stand-ups” and team involvements by literally having the team stand up. This has the natural reaction to be less distracted and more involved.
  • Kept a strong liaison to Management, Product Owners to ensure the meaning and value of Scrum is understood and valued as it slowly gets forgotten in big corporations.
  • In order to resolve impediments in the teams I always make the teams make themselves understand why the impediments exist in the first place and follow with a brief "what should WE do" conversation. More often than not, the solution is already a though and the last part missing is the confidence and guidance to resolution.
  • Always keeping a close report with the most junior and the most mature teams letting everyone know I am always there and my "door" is always opened.
  • Always showing interest even at a technical level and understanding human limitations being on the other side of the Scrum world, I can sympathize and show empathy; we are only human in the end.

  • Worked with Enterprise customer on maintaining and optimizing their dedicated backbone connectivity
  • Resolved Enterprise customer related issues by evaluating network performance and key bottlenecks.
  • While on the 5G integration project I created scripts that will run through several nodes verifying health checks and system integrity.
  • Showing an interest in Optimizing work in an Agile mindset, I integrated my day to day with Scrum methodologies and created a better work culture in the department.
  • Requesting the vendor to provide a constant flow of code in smaller less complex series of updates, we managed to become less waterfall and more Kanban.
  • Following the more "streamlined" approach we managed to deliver several 5G network elements with no impact to the customer and less complicated night maintenance activities which in turn we needed less vendor support resulting in less expenses to deploy.

  • Identified opportunities for process automation; created a GUI interface for the NOC to run manual cluster restarts minimizing call outs and incurred costs.
  • Created a team Wiki page to have a more streamlined centralized database in order to share information on troubleshooting steps decreasing downtime and call outs.
  • Joined the DevOps team for virtualization and integration of Bell's internally coded SMS and Voice Mail platforms.
  • Played a role as a developer in the SMS Anti Spam system withing the Scrum team.
  • Gravitating towards a more Agile mindset I became more involved with the Scrum Master during the morning stand up and aligning my peers with the Scrum framework. We called it have everyone in the same boat rowing in the same direction.
  • Took on a role of "scrum facilitator" as the Enterprise was fully waterfall and it was a huge challenge for the Scrum Master to get teams aligned including management.
  • Followed some training "White Belt" Toyota Kaizen to facilitate my role in the DevOps team.
