Phelan Trites DeLong

I have volunteered with the doggie daycare, Paw and Order. In the work there, I deep cleaned the dog rooms and the kennels. Through communication with staff and pet owners, I learned about the dogs; including their needs and special preferences. Some dogs required special and different types of accommodations. On their birthdays they would call from the kennels to their homes to wish them happy birthdays. In caring for the dogs we fed and kept them clean. It was hard work but also fun.

In my work as a babysitter I aware of the high responsibility and need to be vigilant of their needs and safety.

I got to know them by talking about their likes and dislikes. It is important to get to know them and listen to their stories.

Year-round I participate in kickboxing and occasionally weight lifting. In the Fall I sometimes play soccer; then, when the season is over, I continue in my spoting activities to swim with the (Woodstock High School (WHS) Swimteam. later in the year I sometimes play Volleyball. In the summer, I play soccer. I enjoy being active and feel it is important to my health and well-being.
