Additional Information

As a paramedic I had the opportunity to work with the new medics entering the field. I found I truly loved teaching. Even in the midst of chaos I was able to remain calm and talk them through any difficulties they may be having with the situation, skills, or communication. If there was a sense that they were not grasping the information, I was able to find creative ways to guide them more clearly in a different direction. Teaching was very rewarding as I saw the new medics able to flourish in such a foreign environment.

As owner of the cake shop I realized that when clients came in they were visually presented with my work and abilities, and I would need to find a way to teach new employees so the outcome of their skills would closely match mine. This was quite a task as each person had their own decorating styles. It required good communication. It required refocusing efforts, and adjusting my teaching techniques. If the goal wasn't achieved it was necessary to evaluate my approach, and find one that would ultimately bring the results needed.
