Capstone Project

Storage optimization and design of a new spillway for the Mount Carmel Pond, NL- Design Lead

  • Awarded the Best Capstone Project 2022 and selected to represent Memorial University of Newfoundland at the National CSCE Conference.
  • The project aims to perform a dam consequence classification assessment, water storage optimization study, hydrological assessment and a new spillway design for the reservoir.
  • Generated Intensity Duration Frequency curves by performing a statistical analysis of precipitation data on Microsoft Excel.
