Hassan Abu-Abed

As a mechanical engineering student at Toronto Metropolitan University, I am interested in obtaining many skills from physical trade to software systems. I specialize in mechatronics engineering, with a focus on physical systems. I have completed courses in robotics, automation, and control systems, and I am proficient in Matlab, SolidWorks, and Arduino.

For the past year, I have been working as an HVAC apprentice at Reliance Retail, where I have installed, repaired, and maintained various types of commercial and residential HVAC units. I have gained hands-on experience in electrical wiring, brazing, and sheet metal fabrication, as well as reviewing and editing HVAC drawings to comply with the Ontario building code. I have also worked as a repair specialist and a sales specialist at JURA Inc., where I learned how to diagnose and fix coffee machines, and how to provide excellent customer service. I strive to build good relationships with my coworkers, clients, and seniors and to contribute to the success of the team and the organization.
